受季風氣候影響，北京降水時空分布極為懸殊，年內降水70%以上集中在汛期三個月，年際豐枯交替，多年平均降水585毫米。

With the impact of monsoon, time and spatial distribution of precipitation is extremely unbalanced, over 70% centralizing in three summer months in one year. Wet and dry years rotates in term of several years, Average annual precipitation in Beijing is 585 mm.
